Update....an army of planes and copters got here and hit it hard. As of about a half an hour ago, they are calling it and going to mop up. They held it at Oak Flat rd (the ridge). Had it come over the ridge, we would have hit the road. I suppose that's our fire drill. Some wisps still coming up, but much improved. That was scary.
Kudos to all the fine firefighters that just saved a whole lot of homes and the neighborhood.

We have a new start, and this one is of particular
interest as it's less than a mile from my home., and
I'm downwind (cough). Very populated, right in Bear
Valley Springs, heavily populated with some very expensive
homes in that area of the valley. Engines screaming by, no
planes in site yet.
