Re: [californiadisasters] Saddle Fire, Paradise, CA

We now have immediate, mandatory evacuations in place along Concow Road from hwy 70 to Jordan Hill and Granite Ridge Roads.  Sounding like additional precautionary evac notices will be going out soon over toward Paradise, beyond what is already in effect.

This is going to get ugly really quickly.  That whole area is fuel-heavy....

Subject: [californiadisasters] Saddle Fire, Paradise, CA

400+ acres and starting to get a bit rambunctious in the drainages....original report was 5 fires in the area of the Lime Saddle Park off of Pentz Road, and then it really took off.  This afternoon the fire jumped the arm of Lake Oroville and began to progress east towards Concow, while the original portion headed more westerly, for Paradise.

Known by photos from the news but not confirmed is the loss of at least two residences, possibly additional structures.  Evacuations are in place and have been expanded as the fire progresses.

We've been keeping pretty close tabs on scanner traffic on FB, the page is Butte County Public Safety Scanner ( https://www.facebook.com/thenet411/ ).  We also have a Reddit page up and running for the very latest updates.  (https://www.reddit.com/live/xjtulnpzv2yv/ )
