11/01/2019 1815 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 77,758 acres grass and brush, 70% contained. Minimal fire activity was observed today. Road closures continue for the fire area including Highway 128. Evacuation orders remain in place. Demobilization of excess resources will continue. Threat remains to private residences, commercial properties, critical water and power infrastructure as well as communication infrastructure on Mount St. Helena. Unified Command in place with CAL FIRE, Sonoma County SO & FD, Santa Rosa FD, Healdsburg FD & PD and Forestville FD.
11/01/2019 0900 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 77,758 acres grass and brush, 68% contained. Minimal fire activity was observed overnight. Road closures continue for the fire area. 10/31/2019 1802 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,435 acres timber, 100% contained.
10/31/2019 1802 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 77,758 acres grass and brush, 65% contained. Activity has diminished to isolated areas of heavy and downed fuels. Road closures continue for the fire area. There are approximately 3,000 people that remain evacuated. Many areas adjacent to the fire still continue to be at risk. Threat remains to Mount St. Helena communication site, multiple geothermal power generation units and power transmission lines. Unified Command in place with CAL FIRE, Sonoma County SO & FD, Santa Rosa FD, Healdsburg FD & PD and Forestville FD.
10/31/2019 0930 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 76,825 acres grass and brush, 60% contained. Fire activity continues to diminish with active burning isolated to the eastern flank of the fire. Road closure continues for Hwy 128 and heavy restriction remaining on Hwy 101. Repopulation of residents continues to occur. Many areas still remain under evacuation orders and warnings. There are approximately 30,000 people which live within the evacuated area. Threats remain to Mount St. Helena Communication site, multiple geothermal power generation units and power transmission lines. 10/30/2019 1833 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 76,825 acres grass and brush, 45% contained. Fire behavior remained active today with fuel moistures at critically low levels. Road closure continues for Hwy 128 and heavy restriction on Hwy 101. Significant re-population for the city of Santa Rosa,Windsor and Healdsburg occurred today. Many areas remain under evacuations orders and warnings. There are currently 59,980 people evacuated. Threats remain to Geyser Communication site, multiple geothermal power generation units and power transmission lines. Red Flag Warning remains in effect for gusty winds and dry fuels until 1600 today. Evacuations Orders in place for the Cities of Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Mark West Springs, Sebastopol portions of the City of Santa Rosa including, numerous other smaller communities. Evacuation Warning has been issued for Calistoga. Evacuation Orders currently affecting 159,980 people. Threats remain to Geyser Peak Communication site, City of Santa Rosa water delivery system, multiple geothermal power generation units and power transmission lines. 10/29/2019 1810 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 76,138 acres grass and brush, 15% contained. Fire behavior remained active overnight. Road closure remains for Hwy 128 and heavy restriction on Hwy 101. Red Flag Warning remains for gusty winds and dry fuels until 1600 on 10/30. Evacuations Orders remain affecting the Cities of Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Mark West Springs, Sebastopol, Middletown, portions of the City of Santa Rosa and numerous smaller communities. Evacuation Warning remains issued for Calistoga. Evacuation Orders effecting 159,980 people. Threat to Geyser Peak Communication site. 10/29/2019 1740 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 350 acres grass and oak woodland, 75% contained. A Red Flag Warning remains for the fire area for strong gusty winds and dry fuels until 1600 on 10/30.
10/29/2019 0810 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,434 acres timber, 92% contained. Interior vegetation islands continue to smolder, creep, and back. A Red Flag Warning will be over the fire area begining at 0800 this morning through Wednesday afternoon. Trail and area closures remain in effect.
10/29/2019 0810 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 75,415 acres grass and brush, 15% contained. Fire behavior remained active overnight. Road closure remains for Hwy 128 and heavy restriction on Hwy 101. Red Flag Warning issued for gusty winds and dry fuels from 0800 on 10/29 to 1600 on 10/30. Evacuations affecting the Cities of Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Mark West Springs, Sebastopol, portions of the City of Santa Rosa and numerous smaller communities. Evacuation Warning issued for Calistoga. Evacuation Orders effecting 189,980 people. Threat to Geyser Peak Communication site. Multiple geothermal power generation units and power transmission lines are threatened. Unified Command with CAL FIRE, Sonoma County SO & FD, Santa Rosa FD, Healdsburg FD & PD and Forestville FD.
10/29/2019 0810 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 350 acres grass and oak woodland, 65% contained. Crews continue mop up operations. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area for strong gusty winds and dry fuels in effect from 0800 on 10/29 to 1600 on 10/30.
10/28/2019 1900 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 350 acres grass and oak woodland, 50% contained. All Mandatory Evacuation Orders have been lifted. Evacuation Warnings remain for the Hwy 101 corridor from Ukiah Valley south to Hopland. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area for strong gusty winds and dry fuels. The Red Flag Warning is in effect from 0800 on 10/29 to 1600 on 10/30.
10/28/2019 1815 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 74,324 acres grass and brush, 15% contained. Fire behavior remained active as a wind shift pushed the fire towards the Lake and Napa County Lines. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 1100 on 10/28. Evacuations orders and warnings remain in place for the cities of Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Mark West Springs,Sebastopol, the City of Santa Rosa and numerous smaller communities. Approximately 189,980 people remain evacuated. Potential for the fire to impact densely populated areas remain. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Hwy 101 has restrictions and Hwy 128 is still closed. Unified Command with Cal Fire, Sonoma County SO & FD, Santa Rosa FD, Healdsburg FD & PD, and Forestville FD.

10/28/2019 1515 The National Weather Service: Eureka, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Medford have issued a Red Flag Warning for strong and gusty North to East winds with low relative humidity and critically dry fuels over much of interior California. The general timeframe for this event starts on Tuesday morning and ends Wednesday afternoon. Numerous Fire Weather Zones in the North Ops Region are predicted to be affected. 10/28/2019 0810 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 66,231 acres grass and brush, 5% contained. Fire behavior remained active overnight with decreased winds and poor overnight humidity recovery. The fire is generally burning to the south with the northern areas of the fire burning in remote and very steep terrain. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 1100 today. Evacuations orders and warnings remain in place for the cities of Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, Mark West Springs, and portions of the city of Santa rosa. Approximately 185,980 people remain evacuated. Potential for the fire to impact densely populated areas remain. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Hwy 101 has reopened and Hwy 128 is still closed.

10/28/2019 0810 CA-SCU Sky Fire: 150 acres grass, 90% contained . Last report unless significant activity occurs.
10/28/2019 0810 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 350 acres grass and oak woodland, 20% contained. There is a current threat to structures and 115KV powerlines. Mandatory evacuations remain in place for the fire area. Evacuation warnings have been expanded for Ukiah Valley south alond Hwy 101 to Hopland.
10/27/2019 1915 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,434 acres timber, 87% contained. Despite wind gust up to 45 miles per hour, the fire remained within control lines. Interior islands of unburned vegetation continue to burn down by flanking, backing, and creeping. A Red Flag Warning is in place over the fire area. Trail and area closures remain in effect.
10/27/2019 1910 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 54,298 acres grass and brush, 5% contained. Fire behavior was extreme today with wind driven runs and long range spotting. The fire is generally burning to the south with the northern areas of the fire burning in remote and very steep terrain.. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for dangerously strong off shore winds and low humidity. Evacuations orders and warnings are in place and continue to expand in size. Approximately 185,980 people remain evacuated. Potential for the fire to impact densely populated areas remain. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Hwy 101 and Hwy 128 are closed with additional road closures anticipated. Damage inspections are approximately 45% complete.
10/27/2019 1910 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 350 acres grass and oak woodland, 20% contained. There is a current threat to structures and 115KV powerlines. Mandatory evacuations remain in place for the fire area. Evacuation warnings have been issued for parts of the Ukiah Valley.
10/27/2019 1900 CA-TGU Rawson Fire: 605 acres grass, 50% contained. 1 residential structure and 3 minor structures have been confirmed destroyed. 2 additional residential structures also sustained damage.
10/27/2019 1900 East Contra Costa County FD, Cypress Complex Fire: 40 acres grass, 100% contained.
10/27/2019 1900 CA-SCU Sky Fire: 150 acres grass, 85% contained . Last report unless significant activity occurs.
10/27/2019 1510 CA-MEU Burris Fire: 50 acres grass and oak woodland, 0% contained with a dangerous rate of spread. Fire is located at Potter Valley Rd. and Highway 20, 5 miles East of Capella. Structures are threatened with mandatory evacuations currently underway. Map
10/27/2019 1130 CA-SCU Sky Fire: 100 acres grass, 0% contained with a critical rate of spread. Fire is located at Cummings Skyway and I-80, 1/2 mile South of Crockett. Evacuations in progress with structures currently threatened. Map
10/27/2019 0830 East Contra Costa County FD, Cypress Complex Fire: 40 acres grass, 0% contained with a critical rate of spread. Fire is located at East Cypress Rd. and Bethel Island Rd. in Knightson. Evacuations are in progress for the fire area with structures currently threatened. Map
10/27/2019 0820 CA-TGU Rawson Fire: 605 acres grass, 50% contained. Fire started at 2234 hours on 10/26 and is located 6 Miles Northwest of Corning. Evacuation warnings are in effect. Structures have been confirmed destroyed. Map
10/27/2019 0815 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 30,000 acres grass and brush, 10% contained. The fire experienced extreme fire behavior overnight with wind driven runs and long range spotting. The fire is burning in a remote location with steep terrain that is hampering control efforts. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for dangerously strong off shore winds and low humidity within the fire area. Evacuations orders and warnings are in place and have recently been significantly expanded in size. Approximately 120,000 people live within the evacuation areas. Potential for the fire to impact densely populated areas remains. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Significant restrictions in place for Hwy. 101. Hwy. 128 remains closed with additional road closures anticipated. Damage inspections are approximately 40% complete.
10/26/2019 1845 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 25,955 acres grass and brush, 11% contained. The fire is burning in a remote location with steep terrain that is hampering control efforts. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for dangerously strong off shore winds and low humidity within the fire area. Evacuations orders and warnings are in place and have recently been significantly expanded in size. There is potential for the fire to impact densely populated areas. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Significant restrictions in place for Hwy. 101. Hwy. 128 remains closed with additional road closures anticipated. Damage inspections are approximately 40% complete. CALFIRE IMT 6 has entered into Unified Command with Sonoma County. SO., Santa Rosa FD, Healdsburg FD&PD, Sonoma County FD. and Forestville FD.

10/26/2019 0804 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 25,455 acres grass and brush, 10% contained. The fire is burning in a remote location with steep terrain that is hampering control efforts. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for extreme off shore winds and low humidity this evening. Evacuations orders and warnings in place, with additional evacuations in progress for areas SW of the fire. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Hwy. 128 remains closed with additional road closures anticipated. Damage inspections are approximately 25% complete.
10/25/2019 1830 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 23,700 acres grass and brush, 5% contained. The fire is burning in a remote location with steep terrain. Evacuations orders and warnings remain in place. There is a threat to power-lines, geothermal power generation units,communication infrastructure,critical watershed and local community water delivery systems. Hwy 128 remains closed in the fire area. 21 residences and 28 minor structures are confirmed destroyed, damage inspections are approximately 25% complete. Cal Fire IMT #6 is in command of the incident.

The National Weather Service: Eureka, Sacramento, and San Francisco have issued a Fire Weather Watch for strong gusty east - northeast winds and low humidity causing critical fire weather conditions. The general time-frame starts on Saturday morning and ends Sunday night. Numerous Fire weather Zones in the North Ops Region are predicted to be affected. 10/25/2019 0800 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 21,900 acres grass and brush, 5% contained. The fire is in a remote location with steep terrain which is hampering suppression efforts. Evacuations orders and warnings remain in place. There is a threat to power-lines, communication infrastructure, and the Geyser Peak Communication Tower. Hwy 128 has been closed in the area. 21 residences and 28 minor structures confirmed destroyes, damage insprections are ongoing. Cal Fire IMT #6 is in command.
10/24/2019 1850 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 16,000 acres grass and brush, 5% contained. The fire is in a remote location with steep terrain. Evacuations orders and warnings remain in place. There is a threat to power-lines, communication infrastructure, and the Geyser Peak Communication Tower. Hwy 128 has been closed in the area. Cal Fire IMT #6 will assume command tomorrow morning at 0700.
10/24/2019 1830 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,434 acres timber, 80% contained. Interior islands of unburned vegetation continue to burn down by flanking, backing, and creeping. Trail and area closures remain in effect.
10/24/2019 1830 HI-CNTY Kahana Ranch Fire: 931 acres, 100% contained.
10/24/2019 0700 CA-LNU Kincade Fire: 10,000 acres grass and brush, 0% contained. Fire is located 10 miles northeast of Geyserville. High winds are causing long range spotting and rapid fire spread. Evacuations are in progress in the fire area. There is a threat to power-lines and communication infrastructure. Hwy 128 has been closed in the area. A Red Flag Warning is in affect for the fire area. Map
10/23/2019 1835 HI-CNTY Kahana Ranch Fire: 931 acres, 54% contained. Fire started on 10/22 near the Kapalua Airport. Current fire behavior is reported as minimal. All evacuation orders have been lifted. A threat to structures and electrical infrastructure remain. All road closures lifted.
10/22/2019 1735 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,434 acres timber, 80% contained. Interior islands of unburned vegetation continue to burn down by flanking, backing, and creeping. A Red Flag Warning in effect from 0800 Wednesday to 1600 on Thursday. Trail and area closures remain in effect.

The National Weather Service- Eureka, Sacramento, and San Francisco have issued a Red Flag Warning in effect effect from Wednesday mornng to Thursday evening for the Northern Coastal Range and foothills, the Sacramento Valley, portions of the Northern San Joaquin Valley, and the Northern Sierra Nevada and foothills below 7000 feet. Also in interior Mendocino, Northern Lake, and Southern Trinity Counties, North Bay, East Bay Hills/Valleys and Santa Cruz Mountains, due to strong and gusty winds, warm dry weather, with very low humiditys. For fire weather zones; 213, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 221, 263, 264, 266, 267, 268, 269, 279, 276, 277, 505, 506, and 507. Link

10/22/2019 1300

The National Weather Service- Eureka has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect effect from noon Wednesday to 5 PM PDT Thursday for elevations above 2000 feet in interior Mendocino, Northern Lake, and Southern Trinity Counties Wednesday afternoon through Thursday due to gusty winds and very low humiditys in fire weather zones 276, and 277.

The National Weather Service- San Francisco has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from noon Wednesday to 4 PM PDT on Thursday for gusty winds and low humidities in fire weather zone 505, 506, and 507. Link

 

10/22/2019 0805 CA-ENF Caples Fire: 3,434 acres timber, 73% contained. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Wednesday through Thursday afternoon. The watch is for gusty winds and low humidity that could create critical fire weather conditions. Trail and area closures remain in effect.
