2015: Widespread hard freeze temperatures were recorded across the desert in Kern County.

2011: A low pressure trough moved into California on November 10th.
Ahead of the trough, a strong offshore flow brought southeast winds to the region.
As these winds downsloped through the Tejon and Tehachapi Passes, very warm and above-normal temperatures occurred in the south end of the San Joaquin Valley.
Bakersfield had a high of 78°F on November 10th, and 76°F the next day.
Winds gusted at the base of the Grapevine as well, reaching 61 mph during the afternoon of November 10th, and 73 mph before sunrise the following morning.
This storm also brought snow across the Southern Sierra and Kern County Mountains.
Snowfall reports included 7" of new snow at Ponderosa and 2th.
Snow fell at Pine Mountain Club (at 6100 feet in the western Tehachapi Mountains) during the evening of November 11th, and winds gusted to 56 mph at the base of the Grapevine during the morning hours of the 12th.

2003: Significant snow again fell in the Southern Sierra Nevada from Yosemite southward through the Tulare County Mountains on the 12th. 
Snow amounts estimated: 8" at Charlotte Lake (10K  feet  M.S.L.) and Pascoes (9K  feet  M.S.L.) and 7" at Chagoopa Plateau (10K feet M.S.L.).

2001: Record rainfall occurred throughout much of the central California interior as a strong low pressure system impacted the region.
Between 1200-2000 PST in the Merced area and between 1300-2100 in the Fresno area over 1" of rain fell; between 1500-2200 PST rainfall in excess of 1.35" in the Hanford area and 0.60" in the Bakersfield area occurred.   
This significant rain led to local urban flooding problems in the listed areas as reported by CALTRANS.
Rainfall amounts of 1.6" and 1.8" fell in the foothill regions of the Southern Sierra Nevada during the mid-afternoon to late evening hours of the 12th leading to local flood problems in several small communities.  

2001:
Vallejo received 1.92" of rain -- a record for the month. 

2000: Temperatures dipped lower than the day before with numerous readings below 32° F throughout the Central and Southern San Joaquin Valley.   
Lemoore fell to 26° F, Arvin to 28° F, Coalinga and Delano to 29° F, Porterville 30° F, and Madera, Merced, and Hanford to 31° F.

1985: Heavy rain from a cold, slow-moving storm with embedded thunderstorms started on this day and ended on 11/13.
It produced 4.25" in Julian, 3.42" in La Mesa, 2.63" in SDSU, 2.44" in Vista, 2.40" in Lemon Grove, 2.39" in Alpine, 2.19" in Poway, 2.13" in Chula Vista, and 1.84" in San Diego.
Flooding occurred in Spring Valley and Mission Valley, with erosion damage in La Mesa.
On this day a waterspout came ashore in Encinitas, becoming a tornado and leaving behind a trail of damaged homes and crushed greenhouses as it crossed I-5 before dissipating.
It caused $250,000 in damage.
The storm dropped 14" of snow in Mt. Laguna, 5" in Julian and through the San Gabriel Mountains.
Light snow fell as low as Alpine (1800 feet elevation).
On this day strong storm winds gusted to nearly 80 mph along the San Diego County coast.
Lots of tree damage resulted, also power outages and roof damage in La Jolla.
One tree fell on two cars in Hillcrest.
Winds capsized a sailboat off Carlsbad, killing one. 

1985:  23" of snow fell at Sierraville (Sierra Co.).

1983: Las Vegas, NV, recorded a low temperature of 62° F. This tied for the warmest low temperature ever in November.

1974: Santa Ana conditions warmed up Imperial Beach to 96° F, the hottest in the nation that day, incredibly.
It was 91° F at San Diego.

1967: It was 80° F in Idyllwild, the highest temperature on record for November.
This also occurred on 11.1.1999, 11.13.1999, 11.4.1980, and 11.2.1966.

1953: For the second day in a row the low temperature in Riverside fell to 23° F, the lowest temperature on record for the city in November.

1950: It was 30° F in Santa Ana, the lowest November temperature on record (also occurred on 11.11.1950, 11.24.1952 and 11.30.1948).

1946: A significant early season storm produced locally heavy snow from November 11th into November 14th across portions of the southern Great Basin.
Haiwee, CA, measured 34" of snow, Goldfield, NV, had 24", Coaldale Junction, NV, got 21.5" and Independence, CA, noted 10.5".
Ironically snow amounts in the eastern slopes of the southern Sierra Nevada were not as high as those in parts of the Owens Valley and in south-central Nevada. South Lake (Lake Isabella) received 10" and Lake Sabrina (SW of Bishop, CA) recorded 13".

1944: 2.59" of rain fell in Escondido, the greatest daily amount on record for November.

1941: 2.49" of rain fell in Escondido, the greatest daily amount on record for November.  

1938: Hanford dipped to 18° F for a low temperature.

1938: The morning low temperature at Carson City, NV was -5° F.

1938: It was 24° F in Escondido, 14° F at Descanso, and 10° F at both Palomar Mountain and Cameron (near Mt. Laguna).

1928:
Bakersfield had a record rainfall for the date of 0.25".
This is the oldest rainfall record for Meadows Field in Bakersfield.

1926:
10" of snow fell at Tahoe City (west shore Lake Tahoe).

1906:
It was 105° F at Craftonville (now Crafton Hills, near Redlands).
This remains the national maximum temperature record for November.
