Fire Behavior

Significant areas of smoldering and backing fire due east of Suwannee Creek Road inside refuge. Moderate fire behavior on new start with 6-8 foot flame lengths observed.

Significant Events

Crews continued to patrol, rehab, and mop up the Honey Prairie Fire. Crews continue with initial attack on new starts. Crews experiencing increased backroad traffic from locals preparing for Fall hunting Season. Crews cautioned to be on the lookout for numerous "dead falls" as trees with burned out root systems are toppled by winds from Hurricane Irene as it passes by off the coast of Georgia.

Crews will continue to patrol, rehab, and mop up the Honey Prairie Fire. New fires will also be monitored and mopped up. Demob of excess supplies will continue.

Does anyone know about a complex brush fire that is burning in 3 joined states.? 
I have a friend who is going to help out with the fire and staging.
