smoke is causing alot of trouble for the fire fighters and pilots on this fire. the inversion layer is over the fire keeping the air attack including helicopters away from the fire
due to the smoke, they have less then 1 mile visability .. the inversion layer is suppose to move about 1400 hours- per scanner

fire has ice capped at 25,000 feet, and the fire has extreme activity back side of the heel, neasr vista point x hwy 36 per scanner. fire has also jumped the
battle creek area, this is where the bull dozers up on the ridge were trying to tie it in to keep it from crossing,,
