Re: [Geology2] 20 Years Later, Mt. Spurr Eruption Proves Seminal in Tracking of Ash Clouds

I can see St Helen's on the way home too.  :-)

A map would be cool, but no wifi here (means no using the craptop), so PDF format for the iPhone would be helpful.  AT&T Edge (marginal phone coverage too) here at the site; 3G is 10 miles away in Nikiski.   We're at Captain Cook SRP if you want to look it up.

So far the forecast is dead wrong, steady rain the last 5-6 hours.  Visibility across the inlet isn't good (morning coffee/living room view).

I hate tear down/setup in the rain so may linger another day (we're not seeing any critters anyway, not even birds).   The TV works, a few local channels, but we're too far north for the lil RV sat dish.  Elevation angle points at trees/mountains.  :-D

PS  I will allow you ONE free 'I told you so' but I *AM* in Alaska.  :-/

Tiny iPhone keypad, sorry for typos

Rick,

You simply cannot come home without some volcano pictures. Period. ;-)

PS From Homer spit, you should be able to see Augustine, my fave of the Alaskan volcanoes. Spurr will be a tough one to photograph. Can send volcano map if necessary.
