There will be a short baseball meeting for anyoneinterested in playing fall baseball here at Volcano Vista, today, in the gym, at the beginning of lunch.
Academic Decathlon will be having its first meeting of the year today, at lunch in E113. If you are planning on participating in Academic Decathlon this year, you need to attend this meeting or stop by and talk to Mrs. Taylor in E113.
French National Honor Society will be having its first meeting on Thursday, August 23 at lunch in E113. We will be discussing officer elections and plans for the year. Please plan to attend.
We will be having a dodge ball tournament the week of the 25th during lunch. Sign-ups begin today in the activities office at lunch. You may have 4 members to a team. The finals will be played at the assembly on the 31st. Your teams may consist of student, teachers or students & teachers. Each team will have a $4.00 sign-up fee. There will only be 16 teams and we already have 7signed up. Hurry and get your teams together.
Class rings will be on sale today, at lunch outside the activities office.
Any one still interested in joining a fall sport can still join the cross country team. This includes winter and spring sport athletes looking for something to do to stay in shape, band members, chess club members, NHS members, student senate members, fashion club members, academic decathlon members, Allen Wing, guitar club members, MESA members, Air Force ROTC members, Wing Squad Members, mock trial members, and people who care about their general health and wellbeing. See Coach Gilmore in room F212 or after school near the track for more information about joining the cross country team.
Any senior wishing to sign up for Homecoming Court please stop by the activities office and pick up an application. You must have a 2.0 GPA and be involved in at least 2 activities and/or athletics at VVHS. All candidates will have a mandatory meeting in the gym at lunch on Friday the 24th.
Attention Seniors: If you want your photo to appear in the 2013 edition of the yearbook you need to have your picture taken at Lifetouch Studios. Call 896-5570 tomake an appointment.
Be sure to stop by the activities office to get your locker by Friday. We will be purging the list this weekend Lockers are $1.00.
We are cutting locks today, so if you are in the wrong locker we will cut the lock and return your books to the bookroom.
Parking Passes are on sale in the Activities Office during lunch for $35.00. Please be sure that you have the forms and all the correct information with you.
