Yes. I've read a lot about Calvi. How I found out about him was via an Italian friend who has to live within a corrupt system. He told me about the money laundering that occurs and how the Church rules the government just as it did in the Dark Ages. There is little to no difference between Vatican official and mafia member, except for the spelling, and unless you can fly under the radar, you might find yourself owing someone more than you ever wanted to pay.

These geologists are scapegoats-diversions to draw attention away from the real problem in that country. Galileo should be rolling over in his grave about now.

Wow, yeah right! Why did the Vatican compensate Ambrosiano's account holders with a quarter BILLION to make them go away without admitting any wrongdoing?

Yeah Lin I think you nailed the ugly moral problems that still exists in Italy where a half dozen geologists would be blamed for an earthquake and then sent to prison.
