Hi Kim,

Been with the group for a very long time and appreciate it, and you, for all that gets conveyed.  It is the only thing of its type that I get- just you and Kate down the coast.  No Facebook or the rest, and happy with that. 

I saw you at the Big Sur jade festival a few years ago, and wanted to mention how much I appreciated the site, but you were busy turning rocks into money, and I didn't want to interrupt.

I'm seventh generation Californian, and disgusted with the current situation in our once glorious state.  Grew up in west L.A., and I'm glad I did.  I've been a Batt Chief for Cachagua Fire (THEY do Facebook) on the 110 square miles on the north border of the LPF since '94,  in the department since '76, and proud to part of the solution most of the time.

Really just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed the news from all the folks, as well as your personal trials and tribulations over the years.  I would miss them if they weren't here, and probably wouldn't migrate to another way to do it.

Over 24 hours after my initial roll-call call-out 40 of you have responded publicly and 2 privately. One has unsubbed and 8 who were on moderation because they have never posted here before were taken off moderation. I still want to get a sense of how many of us are still here so please check in if you have not. However, regardless, I have decided to keep doing for the foreseeable future what I began earlier this month which is to turn the lights back on and resume regular operations, I simply didn't want to do that if nobody was left here. I'm happy to see that is not the case.
