This theory has been kicked around now for the past couple of years, but I posted it because, apparently it's only now being published. Hmm. However, I find that my common sense stretches out of shape when I think about connecting distant quakes to more local ones. Plates, bedding planes, 2nd Law of Thermodynamics... nope, can't make Iceland and California jibe.
