The National Weather Service (NWS) in Sacramento Weather Spotter training will enable interested adults to be become volunteers for Project SKYWARN�, which helps keep local communities safe by providing timelyand accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. The training is free. This training is co-sponsored by the County Office of Emergency Services.
- Eastern Shasta County - November 8th, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the Burney Fire Department 37072 Main St. in Burney.
- Western Plumas County - November 9th, 2010 from 7-930 pm at Plumas County Library 445 Jackson St. in Quincy.
- Sierra County - November 10th, 2010 from 6-730 pm at Downieville Community Hall 322 Main St. in Downieville.
