I vote we stop about 38 days short of that record.

One fact about physical geography: If an event has ever happened, it could
happen again. Theoretically, we *could* have a 45-day span of rain. Scary.
More worrisome is that we could easily have 10, 20, or 30 days of steady
rain, since we know 45 has happened. (Logically/statistically, we could have
a longer stretch, but that is not known to be probable, whereas 45 is.)

I predict that if we ever have 30 days or more of continuous rain and also
have at the same time The Big One earthquake, it'll relieve the
overpopulation of CA for some years, as survivors rush to get away.
