1998: Heavy rain that started on 2.3 and ended on this day dropped three inches of rainfall and caused flooding, mud slides and power outages across the region.
Strong storm winds gusted to 60 mph at Newport Harbor and 51 mph at San Clemente.
1990: Heavy rain in the San Bernardino area resulted in one death from flooding.
Ten to 13 inches of snow fell in the mountains.
1989: A winter storm dropped a mix of rain and snow over the south end of the San Joaquin Valley, including 2 inches of snow at Edison.

Strong storm winds hit 64 mph at Palmdale.
1958: A heavy rain storm drenched San Bernardino with nearly four inches on 2.3 and on this day.
Almost two inches fell in Redlands.
Warm Creek overflowed with ash blackened water near Tippencoe Av.
More debris washed into the Del Rosa area. A bad flood occurred in Fontana.
1914: The morning low temperature at Bridgeport was -14
1905: Heavy rains from this day to 2.6 caused the San Diego River to run for the first time in six years.
4.23 inches fell in San Diego in 43 hours.
1899: Cedarville had a morning low of -13.
