I get all my news from the Internet. It brings back the selectability of
print media (TV/radio news is strictly linear; the story you want is on when
it's on, which is usually after 25 minutes of junk). It also allows some
freedom of choice of sources.

The proverbial 24 hour news cycle is a killer. The fact is that 24 hour news
is boring 22 hours of the day.

I love cable TV in their 4-6 hour cycle. Tuesday nights when I get in from
teaching I get to catch the newest Deadliest Catch episode at 0100 and I'm
happy. You can't do that with news.
