[californiadisasters] App for Locating Friends After A Disaster Goes Live on Facebook

Great stuff ... Here’s a link to an article about this new app –

I subscribe to the U.S. Fire Academy’s (Emmitsburg, MD) Learning Resource Center Updates.

You might want to do the same, that is, if you don’t do so already <smile>.

Visit:  http://www.lrc.fema.gov/

Also, as you probably already know, there are two web sites (I know of) that might be of use to locate family members or loved ones after a natural or man-made disaster –

Red Cross Family Links - http://www.familylinks.icrc.org/
National Next of Kin Registry:  http://www.nokr.org/

There are probably more, but these are the ones that fall trippingly off my tongue and keyboard <smile>.
