[californiadisasters] On This Date In CA Weather History (June 15)
1995: Collapsing severe thunderstorm cells generate outflow winds up to 40 mph throughout much of the southern San Joaquin Valley.
Thunderstorms also generated strong winds and 3/4-inch hail across the central San Joaquin Valley.
Fresno received 0.66" of rain, setting a daily precipitation record and also set a record low maximum temperature of 68 degrees.
1969: Strong thunderstorms struck the San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains.
Flash floods washed out and closed several highways on the north slopes and in the desert, including Hwy. 138 in Pinon Hills.
1962: An unseasonably cold air mass helped break most low maximum and many low minimum temperature records on this day.
1961: Riverside hit 112° and Paso Robles hit 115°, their highest temperatures on record for June.
