04/26 | 1300 | San Bernardino National Forest & San Bernardino County Fire entered in Unified Command to manage a tanker spill that closes A 5-mile stretch of State Route 38 from Angelus Oaks to Lake Williams. It is anticipated that the road maybe closed until at least Saturday and potentially longer. The tanker truck contained about 10,000 gallons of fuel. The cleanup may take some time because of the potential environmental threat, CHP and Caltrans officials said. Drivers heading to Big Bear are advised to use State Route 330 and State Route 18 as alternatives. |
