Hey all of you dancers, performers and actors. Would you like an opportunity to perform under stadium lights in front of hundreds of people? Then come join the VVHS color guard and flag team. The flag team performs with the band at all football games and state competitions. In color guard you'll dance, act, and spin rifles, flags and sabers. No experience necessary, we'll teach you everything you need to know. Be a part of an exciting, energetic group!
Come to the VVHS Colorguard/Flag auditions on Thursday and Friday May 2nd and 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00pm as well as May 9th and 10th 4:00 to 7:00pm. Meet in band room G116. Any questions see Mr Blakey
Math NHS members are invited to celebrate their accomplishments this evening in the east courtyard behind the library from 6-7 p.m. Seniors will receive letters and cords, juniors and sophomores will receive membership certificates. Cake and drinks will be provided.
Seniors! Please plan ahead and order your final transcript to your college of choice. If you do not send your final transcript your classes may be dropped for the fall semester at college. So don't wait request your transcript ASAP. All final transcripts are one dollar and please write final on your request. All request for transcripts and pick up are student only no parents are allowed to request or pick up final transcripts. Any questions please see Mrs. Ewing in the main office.
Yearbooks are $70.00. You may purchase them at lunch in the activities office. Autograph inserts are $2.00.
COUNSELING
- Summer School Registration will begin on May 1st, 2013 and be ongoing until May 22nd, 2013. If you need to make up a class, make an appointment to see your Academy Counselor for more information and transcript review. They will review with you options to make up credits.
- Blake's Lotaburger is hosting a team interview day on May 6 at 6550 Paradise Blvd. NW from 11AM-4PM. Team interview days allow potential employees to stop by, submit an application, and immediately be interviewed all at once.
- Seniors: If you are planning to attend CNM next year you must submit your FAFSA by April 30th to receive the Bridge/Lottery scholarship. See Mrs. Sandy in room E224 if you have questions.
- Sophomores and Juniors: The National Hispanic Institute has a summer leadership program Colorado State University in Ft. Collins this June 9-16. See Mrs. Sandy in E224 if you are interested in being a part of this great opportunity.
ATHLETICS
- Volleyball will begin open gym on Wednesday from 2:45 to 4:00pm.
Anyone interested in playing volleyball….BE THERE!!!! - Please come out to Rio Rancho today at 4:00 to watch your Hawks' baseball team play. With a win, the baseball team can clinch their 4th straight district title.
- Softball plays Rio Rancho today at 4.
- Attention track and field JV girls: Please clean and return your uniform to Coach Schrader in H108. Place your uniform in a plastic bag with your name written clearly on the outside of bag.
