08/15	0800	"One Less Spark, One Less Wildfire" Forest officials are gathering with Kern County Fire Department, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and many other agencies to announce the campaign "One Less Spark, One Less Wildfire."   Key issues in this year's campaign… Fire danger is at above normal levels. Significantly dry conditions are present due to historically low precipitation. Ninety four percent of wildfires are human caused—power equipment, vehicles, escaped debris burning and arson. Each citizen has the responsibility to prevent human-caused wildfires and to protect their own property by creating fire adapted communities and defensible space around their homes.
08/15	0730	Aspen Fire CA-SNF-1732 22,546 acres 90% contained
08/14	1800	Aspen Fire CA-SNF-1732 22,546 acres 90% contained Continue mop up and patrol in North and South Repair. Monitor and use M.I.S.T as needed in Division M. There is no night shift on this fire so these actions will continue tomorrow.
08/14	1000	Aspen Fire CA-SNF-1732 22,546 acres 90% contained Stump Springs Road and Kaiser Wilderness still closed.  A Wildland Fire Module will continue to monitor the fire progression and contain fire growth where they can safely engage the fire.
08/13	1815	Power Fire CA-STF-2613 1,070 acres 100% contained
08/13	1815	Aspen Fire CA-SNF-1732 22,546 acres 90% contained Demobilization is ongoing.  No night operations on this fire since the Type III organization took over.
08/13	0600	Sharp Fire CA-ANF-003783 246 acres 100% contained
