THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM FRIDAY TO 7 PM PDT SATURDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * AFFECTED AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 295 KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS FROM PIUTE PEAK WESTWARD TO THE SAN EMIGDIO MOUNTAINS. THIS INCLUDES THE CALIENTE BASIN...TEHACHAPI AND THE HIGHWAY 58 CORRIDOR... TEJON CANYON...THE INTERSTATE 5 CORRIDOR...FRAZIER PARK AND THE MOUNT PINOS RECREATION AREA. * WINDS...EAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE. * TIMING...WINDS INCREASE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING AND WILL REMAIN GUSTY THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MAINLY IN THE LOWER TEENS WITH AREAS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS.
