[californiadisasters] Re: Earthquake Facts & Earthquake Fantasy
Regarding keeping ahead in medications.
What I found "helped" Not to say it will always work, was for me to tell Doctors and Pharmacists that I have been trained by The American Red Cross, FEMA, Homeland Security, CERT through L.A. County Fire, and, all other Governmental and Private Agencies dealing with Disaster Relief and Preparedness that in the event of ANY County or Region Wide Disaster, be it Quake or Climate caused like Tornado - Hurricane. ALL those Agencies STRONGLY RECOMMEND keeping 2 weeks to 1 month supply of Rx Medications. I then tell them that having those on hand prevents my Family from having to go to Hospital Emergency Rooms during above mentioned Disasters just to try and get a few pills when there will be hundreds if not thousands of people with life threatening needs!!!
That usually works but if you have Medical Insurance you will have to deal with them the same way. I am SO GLAD I currently take no Rx Meds!!!!
You can also ask the Doctor where they live so you can come pounding on their door at midnight during a Disaster begging for a few pills to illustrate the point.
