[californiadisasters] On This Date In California Weather History (April 12)



2012: A supercell thunderstorm brought golf ball size (1.75" in diameter) hail to Atwater.
Other locations received hail near Merced and Atwater, mainly around 0.5"-1" in diameter.

2007: A sharp cold front whipped through Arizona resulting in winds well over 40 mph and dense blowing dust with visibility less than a quarter mile.
Some roof damage was also reported in Parker, just across the California border.

2003: Livermore recorded 1.14" of rain. 

1999: A funnel cloud was observed northeast of Temecula.

1982: The Merced River causes flooding in Yosemite National Park.

1967: The low temperature of 32° F in Las Vegas, NV, was the latest on record for the city to officially see the freezing mark

1953: It was 32° F in Santa Ana, the latest freezing temperature on record for the year.
