Joe,
You are quite welcome and thanks for joining us and feel free to invite others you know to join us if this group is something they might find useful or interesting.
Although this is a group devoted to disasters we share some common geo-hazards with you up there in the form of the Cascadia Subduction Zone and the related Cascade Range plus regional and ocean basin-wide tsunamis either related to a Cascadia Mega-thrust event or a biggie somewhere else in the Pacific Ocean Basin.
Additionally, many of the same safety and survival principles that apply here apply anywhere in the Western United States and even beyond.
Sincerely,
Kim Patrick Noyes

Thank you Kim for inviting me to the group even though in the other group I may have come up with stupid comments you always politely set me straight.
I have learned so much from you and other members, which I think most people here in Washington State are not prepared.
I saw that in our last mini-quake.
Even in the ice storm that knocked out power for two weeks they did not comprehend how I was cooking steaks on a little burner.
I also thank my army training; it taught me to be ready for anything and to expect the unexpected.
Stay safe my friend.
Joe
