[californiadisasters] New Chips Fire Road Closures (8/21/12-PM)

Two new road closures in the Chips Fire area:

Highway 147 Closure

Incident: Chips Wildfire

Released: 1:58 hrs. ago

As of 4:45 p.m. today, Highway 147 has been closed from County Road A13 to Canyon Dam at Highwy 89. Highway 89 is closed from Wolf Creek to the Butt Lake Road. This expanded road closure is due to heavy smoke in the area as well as large numbers of emergency vehicles on the roadways.

Incident: Chips Wildfire
Released: 3 hrs. ago

Highway 89 is closed from Butt Lake Road to the junction of Highway 147 due to heavy equipment being moved in the area and excessive smoke.
