Piute Complex CA-SQF-2476 Piute Mountain Area, Southeast of Lake Isabella

Central Sierra Type-2 team (Cooper) remains in command

1,799 acres; 50% contained. Forward fire spread has been stopped.

Clear Fire, 1,449 acres, 50% contained.

Heald Fire, 350 acres, 75% contained

 

 

Bear Fire CA-SNF-1940 10NM East Northeast of Huntington Lake, South of Edison Lake, John Muir Wilderness, Fresno County. Fire is burning in bear clover, heavy timber and brush.

500 acres, 50% contained. No increase in size during this operational period,

continue line construction while being vigilant for potential heat related injuries.

Values at risk: wilderness areas, public and private campgrounds, stables, 2 private resorts.

Indian, CA-000942 Mono County

South East of Mono Lake, near off Hwy 120 and Baxter Springs

Jurisdiction BLM, Fire now reporting 100+ 0% containment

in sagebrush moderate to rapid ROS

Values at risk watershed, threat to Inyo National Forest
