2011: Late season snowfall occurred during the morning over the southern Sierra Nevada behind a deep upper level low that moved over the area during the previous evening.
Estimated snowfall was as high as 9" at Tamarack Summit at an elevation of 7,550 feet.

2007:
Late season cold front passage generated gusty winds across the entire area: Indian Wells Canyon had a gust of 82 mph, Piutes measured a 60 mph gust and both Fresno and Bakersfield gusted to 35 mph.

1998: Two funnel clouds were observed off Dana Point.

1998: An evening storm drops 1.8" of rain in six hours on the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport, part of a total of 1.88" for the event.
This set records in Fresno for the wettest calendar day in June, the wettest June overall and the wettest 6-and 24-hour periods in the month of June.
Across Fresno and Tulare Counties over $27 million dollars in damage occurred to crops damaged by hail and trees downed by the wind.
The Reedley area was especially hard hit with 414.8 million in damages.

1997: A tornado in Hesperia destroyed a large fountain.

1995: Very strong winds with gusts to 75 mph swept through the Mojave Desert and Antelope Valley, downing trees and blowing a 75-pound piece of equipment off a tower in Antelope Valley.

1993: Big Bear Lake recorded its latest measurable snowfall of the season on record with 0.5".
1.42" of rain fell at Palomar Mountain and 0.64" fell in Victorville, each the greatest daily amount on record for June.

1993: Las Vegas, NV, drops to 48° F, setting a record low for June.
On Mt. Charleston a late season snow fell amounting to 4" in Kyle Canyon and 9.5" at Lee Canyon

1987: Rare June thunderstorms hit the LA region and Mojave Desert on 6.5 and on this day.
A severe thunderstorm hit Palmdale and Lancaster.
1" diameter hail hit Mt. Pinos in northern LA County, 0.75" hail hit Palmdale, 0.5" hail hit Pine Mountain near the LA-Kern county line.
Lightning struck the Santa Monica Bay.
Power was knocked out.
Lightning sparked small fires.
In Lancaster, mobile homes were damaged by strong winds (possible tornado?) and lightning.
Two-by-fours were driven into the roofs of mobile homes.
Utility poles were uprooted and broken in half.
More than 500,000 were left without power.

1972: The Padres' home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates was rained out at (then) San Diego Stadium.
This also occurred the previous day on 6.5.1972.

1954: The morning low temperature at Reno, NV, was a chilly 25° F.

1950: Strong late-season wind event affected the entire San Joaquin Valley.
Fresno had sustained winds of 34 mph with a gust to 42 mph.
Numerous trees and tree limbs were blown down resulting in damaged fruit and some grapevine canes were damaged.
Dust clouds were reported to have risen as high as 7,300 feet over Kettleman City.

1947: Los Gatos recorded 0.28" of rainfall.

1936: Tahoe City (west shore Lake Tahoe) recorded 1.46" of precipitation.

1934: 0.29" of rain fell in San Diego, the greatest daily amount for June on record. 0.38" fell on 6.5 and on this day, the greatest 24-hour amount on record for June.

1894: Virginia City, NV, recorded 2.8" of precipitation, its second largest one-day total.
