This incident is exploding all over the place and is now a structure threat and put at 700 acres per the Hotlist..

One flank of the fire is running to the top of a small mountain right in front of the Breckenridge Cam for which there is a link provided below in the previous post.

A short time ago this fire generated a pyrocumulus cloud.

Highway 178 is closed indefinately due to a fire in the Kern Canyon, in Kern County. The forest Service has called a second alarm. Smoke from the Breckenridge camera looks bad.
