I am honored  to announce that Chief Fred Endrikat from Philadelphia Fire Department's Special Operations Command has accepted the position Chief of Urban Search & Rescue Branch with the Operations Division of the Response Directorate at FEMA Headquarters.   Chief  Endrikat will lead the FEMA National US&R Program beginning October 12, 2010. 

 

Chief Endrikat has participated in the National US&R Program since its inception and served as both the National Operations Group Chair and National Task Force Leaders Representative.  For many years, Fred  served as a Task Force Leader for PA-TF1 and was the Operations Section Chief on Incident Support Teams for many years.  His assignments have included major US&R response operations including the 911 World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina responses.  Fred brings a wealth of operational and administrative US&R experience to the FEMA Response Management Team.  Please join the US&R Program Office staff in welcoming Chief Endrikat to his new position.
