07/25/2013	0830	On Saturday July 20th, Nick Powell, Fire Engine Operator on the Shasta Lake Ranger District, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, was involved in a non-work related motorcycle accident. It is with great sadness to report that on July 24th, Nick succumbed to his injuries at Mercy Hospital in Redding with his family at his side. The date for Nick's services has yet to be determined.
07/25/2013	0745	On July 25, 2008, Andrew J. Palmer, from the Olympic National Park, lost his life in a tree falling accident while assigned to the Eagle Fire, Shasta-Trinity National Forest. We will always remember him in the fire community.
