1997: Monterey reported a high temperature of 95° F.

1996: Truckee recorded 2.2" of precipitation.

1996:
Heavy rain on top of snow caused the Merced River to flood in Yosemite Valley.
Over $2 million in flood damages occurred.

1977: 4" of snow fell at Glenbrook, NV, (east shore Lake Tahoe).

1970: It was 99° F in San Luis Obispo, setting a record high for May

1970: The high temperature at Reno, NV, was 95° F.

1956: It was 104° F in Escondido, the highest temperature on record for May.
