[californiadisasters] On This Date In California Weather History (May 25)



2006: Highway 140 near El Portal (Mariposa Co.) was buried by a massive landslide near El Portal that was 600 feet wide, 600 feet long, and 300 feet deep.

1996: A funnel cloud was observed over San Diego's Mission Beach, ten miles west of Lindbergh Field - San Diego.

1951: Saint Helena recorded a high of 100° F .

1896: It was 98° F in San Diego, the highest temperature on record for May.
