09/22/2019 1740 CA-SHF South Fire: 5,211 acres, 62% contained. Fire behavior remained minimal as humidity remained high through the day. Road and trail closures are in effect for the fire area. There is a threat to prehistoric trails, historic sites, and endangered Salmon. Fire may impact a Class 1 Airshed within the Yolla Bolla Wilderness.
09/22/2019 1740 CA-SHF Middle Fire: 1,339 acres, timber and brush, 89% contained. Fire behavior remained minimal today. Increase in acres was due to better mapping of the fire perimeter. A closure is in place for roads leading to the fire.
09/22/2019 1420 The National Weather Service - has issued a Red Flag Warning for for a large portion of interior Northern California and surrounding Bay areas. The Red Flag Warning was issued for gusty winds and low humidity and is in effect from Monday morning to Wednesday. Please use the following link for information specific to your area. Link
09/21/2019 1750 CA-PNF Walker Fire: 54,612 acres grass and timber, 98% contained. Crews are focused on suppression repair. Although the threats have been significantly reduced, there is still a concern for private inholdings,timber and the Walker Mine Super-fund site.
09/21/2019 1725 CA-SHF Middle Fire: 1,335 acres, timber and brush, 76% contained. Recent precipitation received on the incident has minimized fire behavior and perimeter growth. Incident is located in a remote location in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. A closure is in place for roads leading to the fire.
09/21/2019 1710 CA-SHF South Fire: 5,211 acres, 61% contained. Road and trail closures are in effect for the fire area. There is a threat to prehistoric trails, historic sites, and endangered Salmon. Fire may impact a Class 1 Airshed within the Yolla Bolla Wilderness. Fire has transitioned to a Type 3 Incident Management Team.
09/21/2019 1330 The National Weather Service- San Francisco and Sacramento has issued a Fire Weather Watch in effect for Monday afternoon into Wednesday morning for gusty northerly winds and low humidity that could result in critical fire weather conditions. General areas includes: The North Bay Mountains, East Bay Hills and Diablo Range as well as portions of the Sacramento Valley, adjacent foothills and the Northern Coastal Range. 09/21/2019 0820 CA-SHF South Fire: 5,211 acres, 61% contained. Road and trail closures are in effect for the fire area. There is a threat to prehistoric trails, historic sites, and endangered Salmon. Fire may impact a Class 1 Airshed within the Yolla Bolla Wilderness. A Type 3 Incident Management Team will take command of the incident at 1700 hrs. today.
