The fire is burning grass within last years Great Fire. Additional fire resources have been requested and are enroute to the fire. S-2 is being closed between Scissors Crossing and Shelter Valley. Highway 78 and S-22 are also being closed in the fire area. Red Cross is setting up an evacuation center at the Borrego Springs High School.
