[californiadisasters] On This Date In California Weather History (June 19)



2005: Low temperatures fell into the lower 50s at the coast and into the 40s in the valleys on this day, remarkably very cold for one of the shortest nightsof the year.

1951:
An afternoon thunderstorm produced a lightning display in Fresno described as "one of the most vivid electrical displays that has occurred in this area for many years".
A number of power lines, transformers and pumping motors were struck.

1909: 4" of snow fell at Glenbrook, its latest occurrence of over 1" of snowfall.

1893: San Jose reported a low temperature of 33° F.
