There are a number of Old Faithful's around the world. California has its own as does Oregon. I've been to both but not to Wyoming's which is the most famous.

Flames destroyed one building and damaged another at Calistoga's Old Faithful Geyser tourist attraction Tuesday. The fire, which burned a total of eight acres off Tubbs Lane, was reported at 4:50 p.m. and contained by 7 p.m.Eleven nearby homes were spared from the fire, said Cal Fire Capt. Emily Smith. No evacuations were ordered. The cause of the blaze was under investigation Tuesday.About 40 firefighters battled the flames, as well as two air tankers, a helicopter and one air attack plane, according to Cal Fire officialsCrews planned to remain in the area through the night to put out any potential hot spots.Because of downed power lines, Tubbs Lane was set to be closed in both directions until 2 a.m.The downed lines originally left 1,675 customers without power. As of 9 p.m., that number was down to 289, said J.D. Guidi, a PG&E representative. Those customers likely won't have power again until 7 a.m Wednesday.Further north, a 215-acre wildfire in east Lake County was 100 percent contained as of 7 p.m. Tuesday, Smith said. About 350 firefighters and two helicopters worked since Sunday to put out the flames. The fire broke out about 5:30 p.m. Sunday near Indian Valley Reservoir.Staff Writer Randi Rossmann contributed to this report.
