04/20/2012 | 0700 | Today's Weather Story from the the National Weather Service's Sacramento WFO forecasts that interior Northern California will experience a warming trend through this weekend, and the Reno WFO's Weather Story states that record highs might be possible. Fire Management personnel in the field should note that with the warmer temperatures, the Sacramento WFO's Weather Story advises that "Mountain snowmelt will increase under these unseasonably warm temperatures. Use caution around rivers and streams and expect cold water conditions."
