[californiadisasters] On This Date In CA Weather History (June 21)

2012: This is the only day on which rain has never been officially recorded in Bakersfield and Fresno; now at the 135th consecutive year for no rainfall on this date.

2000: Heavy rains (about 1") hit La Jolla Indian Reservation near Palomar Mountain on a recently burned area.
Flooding and mudslides occurred along Hwy. 76, where 200 feet of highway was covered by up to 18" of mud.

1961: Earliest triple digit temperature on record at Yosemite Valley, 100°.

1929: Santa Maria established an all-time high of 109°.
