06/22	1830	Carstens, Fire, CA-SNF-1216/CA-MMU-009840, Midpines, Mariposa County Carstens Road near State Route 140 1,708 acres 90% contained. Incident will transition to the Type 3 organization at 0600 tomorrow. Hathaway Fire CA-BDF- 8526 Vegetation, Northeast of Banning, Riverside County. USFS-San Bernardino N.F.   3,825 acres, 85% contained.
06/22	0800	Always remember… It was on this day in 1995 that Lead 56 pilot, Michael Ray Smith (Smitty), collided with the DC-4 Tanker 19 on final approach to the Ramona airbase while working the Butterfield Fire. Smitty along with the pilots for Tanker 19, Gary Cockrell and Lisa Netsch all perished.
06/22	0800	Carstens, Fire, CA-SNF-1216/CA-MMU-009840, Midpines, Mariposa County Carstens Road near State Route 140   1,660 acres 80% contained, Unified command between USFS Sierra N.F., CALFIRE, Mariposa County Fire Department and Mariposa County Sherriff Department. Central Sierra (Cooper)team will transition the fire to the Sierra National Forest and a Type 3 Organization Sunday morning. The incident will be in patrol status, with one strike team of engines monitoring the incident. Crews are continuing with suppression repair, with road grading and back haul of hose and other equipment.   Hathaway Fire CA-BDF- 8526 Vegetation, Northeast of Banning, Riverside County. USFS-San Bernardino N.F.   3,825 acres, 85% contained. Type 3 IMT (N Gamboa) in command.
