  There was also a fireworks accident in Tehachapi (Kern Co) when a number of fireworks shot into nearby spectators. We were nearby watching and saw the sideways misfire. Looked like one of the racks fell over.

Tehachapi fireworks accident results in injuries

A fireworks shell apparently misfired during Tehachapi's aerial fireworks show on Thursday, heading into a crowd gathered across the runway at Tehachapi Municipal Airport resulting in four people receiving injuries including burns.

Thousands of people were gathered at multiple locations to watch the fireworks including the nearby Tehachapi Event Center and Rodeo Grounds.
