And just because you are getting some onshore push in your area does not mean Red Flag Warnings do not apply to some other area of in the Red Flag Warned area. They don't break them up into small zones by neighborhood.

Red Flag Warnings are NOT High Wind Warnings but rather apply to a combination of humidity and/or temperature and/or wind factors. The conditions were Red Flag Conditions based upon the low humidity, mild temperatures, and what modest winds were manifested in some areas. The Red Flag Warnings are mostly based upon automated weather gathering systems and when the conditions fall below Red Flag Warning status they pull the plug on the bulletins as they did today.
