Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 15 fires for 8 acres.

There are currently 2 large fires burning in the GACC:
CA-BTU, Windy, is 125 acres and 95% contained
CA-HUU, Buckeye, is 348 acres and 95% contained, CALFIRE Team 4, Waterman is assigned.

The GACC is also supporting an incident in San Mateo County:
City of San Bruno: The Glenview Incident is an urban incident, about 10 acres and 50 percent contained. The result of an explosion, this fire is burning in a residential neighborhood. Numerous homes have been destroyed or damaged. An FMAG has been approved for this incident. This is a local government incident, State and Federal entities will be providing support as requested.

Fuels are dry throughout the region. 1000 hour fuels are measured below 15 percent. Live fuel moistures are measured between 70 and 125 percent.

The strong low pressure system that dropped widespread light rain across the region, with isolated spots of 0.50 – 1.50 inches, is quickly moving east and will be replaced by high pressure that will be overhead through Saturday. Dry and warmer weather can be expected during this time, with only locally gusty a.m. winds in and near the Sacramento Valley. On Sunday an offshore low pressure system will begin to deepen and produce an increasing S-SW flow along with mild conditions over the North Ops region that will continue through much of next week.

There are very few resources committed out of the GACC.
