New starts in Northern California on Saturday (1-4). As surprised crews continued too battle the "Campbell Fire" new starts were reported in Humboldt County. The "Red Fire" was reported at 11:00 local just East of Willow Creek,Ca. Fire is burning in Timber and downfall slash fuels. Fire is reported at 20% contained, plume from the fire could be seen in Eureka,CA. 100 acres at last report. A second start was also reported and worked by Tankers around 15:00 local near Bridgeville,CA also on the Six River National Forest. This fire burned about 20 acres before being contained. Local news also reported a third possible fire named the "Snow Camp Fire" but this could be the same fire near Bridgevile as some of the reports are confusing on these fires. CalFire S2T's Tankers #80 and #81 were pulled off of the Campbell Fire for these fires, both aircraft reloaded out of Chico,Ca and will be overnighting there as well. Rhonerville Tanker base is much closer to the fires but is more than likely closed for the season, also no word if Redding will be or is open as that would be closer than Chico for reload.
