[californiadisasters] Re: Wildfire - Tehama County - LNF - Campbell Incident

Hand crews and air resources from the U.S. Forest Service BLM and CALFIRE are working to contain a wildfire in the Ishi Wilderness north of Campbellville.

The left flank of the fire has retardant and crews are focusing there and making progress. Fire behavior is mostly low and some moderate on upslope runs. Winds are primarily out of the north.

The valley is starting to get smoked in to the west and south.

The Campbell Fire was first reported at approximately 8:00 p.m. on January 2 2014.

Lassen National Forest officials are asking for the public's help by keeping away from the fire activity so as to not hinder firefighting efforts. They would also like to remind the public to use extreme caution with any outdoor fire.

Management of this fire has been transferred from Tehama-Glenn Unit CAL FIRE (TGU) to the Lassen National Forest (LNF) once it was determined to be on the forest and not on SRA (State Responsibility Area) as opposed to FRA (Federal Responsibility Area).
