The five Los Angeles TV news stations reporting on the 20th anniversary of the 6.7 Northridge earthquake in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley that claimed 57 lives (plus 12 deaths caused by quake-related heart attacks) and caused $40 billion in damages. It was the second most costliest natural disaster in the U.S., just behind Hurricane Katrina. The quake occurred Monday morning, January 17, 1994 at 4:31am. It lasted ten seconds.
