You’re preaching to the choir Wayne.  And the same argument for electrical power, roads, waste disposal...

 

Sadly, the courts have ruled that lack of supply is no reason to deny a permit.

Maybe the folks that derive income from continuing to issuue commercial
and residential building permits should be shown these charts and be
appraised of the situation?

Hey...we got water rationing...anyone want a building permit???
