6/20/2019 0930 National Weather Service- Sacramento has issued a Red Flag Warning for the portions of the Sacramento valley and adjacent foothills for tonight through Saturday. Dry conditions combined with gusty north winds and low humidity will result in critical fire weather conditions. Area includes fire weather zones 213, 215, 217, 263, 264, 266, and 279. Link
6/20/2019 0810 National Weather Service- Sacramento has issued a Fire Weather Watch in effect beginning at 1100 Thursday morning and ending at 1800 Saturday evening for gusty winds and low humidity. General area includes the Sacramento valley and adjacent foothills, fire weather zones 213, 215, 217, 263, 264, 266, and 279. Link
6/20/2019 0810 CA-MNF East Fire: 167 acres of brush and timber, 0% contained. Moderate fire behavior with flanking, backingand creeping observed. Fire is located in a class 1 air-shed with threats to wildlife habitat and fisheries. There is an abundance of snags in the area from the 2008 Yellow Fire burn scar. The fire is being managed using a confine strategy.
6/20/2019 0810 CA-MNF Haynes Fire: 28 acres in brush and timber, 20% contained. Fire is located in the immediate area of the East fire. Moderate fire behavior was observed. Fire has a 100% full suppression strategy. There is an abundance of snags in the area due to the fire burning in the 2008 Yellow Fire burn scar.
6/20/2019 0810 CA-KNF Lumgrey Fire: 207 acres grass and brush, 80% contained. State Route 96 is fully open.
6/19/2019 1810 CA-MNF East Fire: 135 acres of brush and timber, 0% contained. Moderate fire behavior with some short range spotting and single tree torching has been observed. Fire is located in a class 1 air-shed with threats to wildlife habitat and fisheries. There is an abundance of snags in the area from the 2008 Yellow Fire burn scar. The fire is being managed using a confine strategy.
6/19/2019 1810 CA-KNF Lumgrey Fire: 207 acres grass and brush, 80% contained. State Route 96 is now fully open.
