A funnel cloud was observed in Phelan.

1994: Gusts to 80 mph were recorded at Mojave.

1992: The U.S. Coast Guard station at Lake Tahoe reported two waterspouts in Crystal Bay.
They lasted less than 5 minutes.

1981: A mountain wave generated powerful, localized winds at the Mojave Airport that gusted to 107 mph.
Damage occurred to six planes and hangers.

1961: Downtown San Francisco recorded its warmest temperature ever: 106° F!

1956:
A 64 mph wind gust occurred at China Lake NAS.

1943: The low temperature was 50° F on this day in San Diego, the lowest on record for June.

1940: Earliest 115° F high temperature ever in Las Vegas, NV, is recorded.

1939: Fresno recorded sustained northwest winds of 47 mph, the highest on record in June in Fresno.

1917: It was 112° F in Santa Ana, the highest temperature on record.

1907: Late season chill unleashed into the area led to record lows on 3 consecutive days in Fresno from the 13th-15th of June.
The low of 42° F on the 14th is the lowest reading ever here in this month.

1903: A flash flood in Heppner, Oregon killed 236 people.

1884: For the third day in a row, the low temperature in San Diego dipped to 50° F.
This is the coldest temperature on record for the month of June and the latest 50° F reading on record in June.
San Diego has reached a reading of 50° F 5 times in June since records began in 1874 (the last of which occurred in 1943 on this same day).
Since 1999 San Diego has failed to record a temperature below 56° F in June.
