For us living in a currently active earthquake zone (Christchurch) reading the latest quake studies and trying to get a better understanding is re-assuring.
Hopefully all this new knowledge will be published in a year or two, meantime I am acquiring quite large files on the Christchurch quake and general quake investigation.
