SENIORS IN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Your final paperwork for the semester is due on Monday, April 16th, at lunch. Meet in Mrs. Jones' room to turn in your tutoring and community service hours and learn about the Induction Ceremony on April 25th. This is the last meeting of the year for Seniors, it is mandatory, and all paperwork is due at this meeting. If you missed the Hawk Clean-Up activity last week, you need to talk to Mrs. Jones about an alternative clean-up date before April 16th.
JUNIORS IN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: A mandatory meeting will be held in Ms. Torres' room, H209, during lunch on Monday, April 16th. Information on the Induction Ceremony and other important items will be discussed. Please attend.

The Geo/Astro teachers are excited to host The Albuquerque Astronomical Society's Star Party at our school in 2 weeks! This event will run from 7:30-9:30 pm in H-hall (including the main theatre) and the parking lot behind H-hall. This event is open to the public, but we'd like to make sure that all VVHS science students have the opportunity to attend.
Class of 2012: There will be a meeting in Mrs. Wells room F210 on Wednesday during lunch.
Juniors, are you interested in becoming a doctor? The UNM BA/MD program will be visiting Volcano Vista High School on Thursday, April 5th at 1:00. Please see Mrs. Futey in room E224 today during lunch if you are interested in learning more information about this program.
Volcano Vista is hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday April 14th from 10 to 2. Sign ups are by appointment only so please visit the ROTC conference room during lunch to lock in your time.
Senate will be starting a fundraiser for the Mel Phipps' family beginning Wednesday in your 5th period class to help his family with medical expenses.
PING PONG TOURNAMENT: The tournament is at lunch starting April 16th and continuing that week. It is a fundraiser for Mel Phipps. Double is $5 for a team. Singles is $3. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill. Sign up with Mr. Zimmerman in A103 or Mrs. Bullard in A101. All proceeds will go tohelp with medical expenses of the Phipps' family
Prom Tickets will go on sale April 17th thru the 20th for $20.00. April 23 -27 they will be $25.00. You must have your student ID to purchase a ticket. Prom tickets will be sold to juniors and seniors only
ATHLETICS
- The softball team beat Cleveland 11 to 1 yesterday. Kelsey Stevens struck out 11 of the Storm players. Courtney Love, Taylor Sargent and Katera Eltsosie each hit a home run for the Hawks.
- The baseball team beat district rivals Cibola 13-1!
- The boys tennis team beat Cleveland 5-2 :)
